We’re all going on holiday…..
Did your child tell you all about their time as a pirate last week? We had a brilliant time – who knew there was so much to learn about pirates? The weather was great for our treasure hunt on Thursday afternoon. We went around the school with our treasure map, sailed the sea in the boat and eventually found the treasure, it was really good fun.
This week we start talking about holidays. Where we have been, where we are going. If you go away in the next few weeks please send us a postcard, it’s really a fantastic prompt to use when the children are talking about their experiences at news time.
This Saturday is our Summer Fayre – doors open at 10:30. We are usually finished by about 11:45. It’s a lovely opportunity for the family to come and visit us all, it’s only £1 to enter for the whole family – and you never know you might win a prize. Thank you to everyone who has donated prizes, however, we are still a little low on bottles for our bottle stall. Please have a look at home if you have an odd bottle around – anything would be great – juice, water, beer, wine etc. Raffle tickets are already available to buy for the Grand raffle – prizes include meat vouchers, bottles of wine, an iron, hamper of cheese…. We look for to seeing you and your family on Saturday. P.S. Don’t forget to bring your cakes and buns in on Friday (Mr Sainsbury and Mrs Morrison make some nice ones!!)
By now you should have received the parent’s page of your child’s summative report to complete. Please complete and return as soon as possible. If you have any questions please ask a member of staff – we are all here to help.
Don’t forget if the sun is shining slap on some sun cream on your child before they come to Pre-School. Have a good week.
