Happy Chinese New Year!  It’s the Year of the rooster – those people who are born in this year (1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993 and 2005) are said to be observant, hardworking, resourceful, courageous, and talented, active, amusing, and popular within a crowd. Roosters are talkative, outspoken, frank, open, honest, and loyal individuals. They like to be the centre of attention and always appear attractive and beautiful.  Which year were you born in?  This week we have lots of Chinese based activities planned and the children will have the opportunity to try Chinese food at snack times.

Our target this week is to sit still and listen at carpet times.  It’s a tricky task for some of our little ones who are used to being on the go all the time!  But we have already handed out lots of stars…. It is work in progress for some!

Have you received our newsletter about learning the Sign2Sing song?  You can find it on You Tube if you want to practice at home.  We are just concentrating on the chorus – but if you and your child can learn the rest of the song that would be great.

Have a good week.
