This week we continue to look at bugs and creepy crawlies. If you go into your garden why not have a look for the little animals that live there. We are on the hunt in the Pre-School garden for little beasties – how many will we find?
Last week we had a visit from Lisa the Bug Lady she brought in lots of interesting and unusual pets… giant snails, hissing cockroaches, stick insects and lots more. The children were very brave holding the insects and some of the ladies were too!!
Also last week our little caterpillars arrived. They have travelled through the post all the way from Cornwall and are now sitting on our interest table and growing very quickly. The children are fascinated with them and are looking at them through magnifying glasses. It will not be long until they are starting to build their cocoons for their next stage of their life cycle.
Thank you to all those parents who have let us know which Primary school your child has been allocated in September. It is a sad but exciting time for us – we are busy contacting schools, talking to new teachers and writing reports. Soon we will be sending out the parent’s part of the transition documents – you don’t get let off too easily!
Have a great week and remember…. Button to chin, ‘til May be in. Cast not a clout ‘til May be out!!!
