Autumn is around the corner
This time last year we were enjoying long sunny days, not wet and windy ones like this weekend! Summer is definitely over and Autumn is on its way. But then there are only 13 Monday’s left until Christmas…..
We are happy for our children to bring in something of interest to talk about at news time (no toys please) we have already had a child bring in a pine cone, this sparks some great conversation and learning. When you are out and about with your child why not look at the environment and see if there is something unusual that they can collect and bring into Pre-School.
Our children are settling into the Pre-School routine and we are getting to know their little quirks and needs! Last week we set our first target of the term, children are being encouraged to say please and thank you at appropriate times, without being prompted. When they have achieved this they will receive a stamp on their hand and a star to put onto our ‘Reason to celebrate’ board. We already have quite a few stars on their!
We had some sad news last week, Karen has decided to leave the Greenacre nest and fly off to a new venture. She will be leaving us on 6th October and we wish her all the very best for the future. If Karen is your child’s Key Person do not worry we will contact you shortly. This leaves us with a vacancy, if you know someone who would like to apply please contact the Pre-School as soon as possible.
Have a great week and don't forget if you have any worries or concerns please speak to a member of our team.
