Thank you to everyone who came to join us on Monday to watch our Christmas Sing-a-long.  We were so proud of our children – weren’t they fantastic?  We raised £168.66 towards our resources for your children, thank you to everyone who donated prizes and bought raffle tickets.  Now we have finished the concert and the props have been put away we are preparing for our Christmas party next Monday afternoon.  If your child does not attend the afternoon session, please bring them at 1.00pm to join in the fun.

Have you received your December newsletter?  They were sent out last week by email.  If you haven’t seen it, check your inbox and look in the junk.  If you still haven’t got one, please let us know so that we can check the email address we are sending it to.

Thank you to everyone for returning your questionnaires – if you haven’t completed yours yet there is still time to drop one into the letterbox in the entrance.

Thank you to everyone who donated to our ‘Children in Need’ collection last week.  We raised a fantastic £71.00! Everyone looked amazing dressed up in their outfits and pyjamas.  It has been a great week to celebrate a wonderful charity.

Thank you to everyone who came to our parents evening last Wednesday – it was fantastic to see so many of you.  We hope you have enjoyed looking through your child’s profile and seeing what they have been getting up to this term.  If you have not already done so please sign and return the profile so that your child’s Key Person can continue adding to it.  If you were unable to come into the classroom last week, please ask a member of staff to have a look around.

Hellllloooo!!!

How was your time off?  Did you go away?  Some of our ladies went abroad – but it sounds like we had better weather in Yeadon/Rawdon!!  So now we are back and can’t wait to get started on our next half term.  We have lots of things planned and of course the excitement will start to build for the big man’s arrival in December!

What a lovely weekend we’ve just had – did you manage to get out for an autumnal walk?  Our children went out for a walk last week to have a look at all the changes happening at this time of year.  They had a great time playing in the leaves.

Autumn leaves are falling…

Posted by admin on October 15, 2018

This week we are talking about autumn.  We are looking at the environment and talking about how it changes each season.  You can help your child by talking about what you can see when you are out and about.  We already have a fantastic collection of leaves and conkers!  We will be singing the autumn song – perhaps you would like to learn it too, here are the words it is sung to the tune of ‘London Bridge is falling down’

Autumn leaves are falling down, falling down, falling down

Autumn leaves are falling down, red, yellow, orange and brown.

Are you all enjoying these lovely warm days?  Make the most of it as there looks like a storm is brewing for the end of the week.  Which tells us summer is over, and Autumn is on its way.  But then there are only 11 Monday’s left until Christmas… Yes really!!

Bones, bones, and more bones

It was wonderful to see photographs of family members last week, thank you to everyone who sent them in.  It was a lovely opportunity for children to ‘show and tell’ at carpet time; they proudly stood at the front of the class and talked about their family and when and where the pictures were taken.
