Thank you to everyone for returning your questionnaires – if you haven’t completed yours yet there is still time to drop one into the letterbox in the entrance.

There are only 3 more Monday’s until we break up for the holidays, but we have lots of things planned and we will be busy keeping all of our excited children occupied.  Don’t forget we are talking about colours this week and we will be wearing a different colour each day. Monday – red, Tuesday – yellow, Wednesday – green, Thursday – blue, Friday – orange.

Thank you to everyone who donated to our ‘Children in Need’ collection last week.  We raised a fantastic £130.00! Everyone looked amazing dressed up in their outfits and pyjamas.  It has been a great week to celebrate a wonderful charity.

Thank you to everyone who came to our parents evening last Thursday – it was fantastic to see so many of you.  We hope you have enjoyed looking through your child’s profile and seeing what they have been getting up to this term.  If you have not already done so, please sign the report and return the profile so that your child’s Key Person can continue adding to it.  If you were unable to come into the classroom last week, please ask a member of staff to have a look around.

What a great week to chat about Autumn.  The leaves on the trees are changing colour and we’ve had a bit of a frost.  The summer is just a memory and we’re almost at the end of the year.  But lots of things are happening before then!

Autumn leaves are falling down...

This week we are talking about autumn.  We are looking at the environment and talking about how it changes each season.  You can help your child by talking about what you can see when you are out and about.  We already have a fantastic collection of leaves and conkers!  We will be singing the autumn song – perhaps you would like to learn it too, here are the words it is sung to the tune of ‘London Bridge is falling down’

Autumn leaves are falling down, falling down, falling down

Autumn leaves are falling down, red, yellow, orange and brown

Rain, rain go away.

The summer is definitely over, and Autumn is on the way.  Don’t forget to put your child’s name in their wellies – we have some identical pairs – so it’s a bit tricky matching feet to the correct boots!

Bony Bones!!

Thank you to everyone who sent in photographs of their family, it was lovely to see them, and they are now part of our display.  It was a great opportunity for children to ‘show and tell’ at carpet time; they proudly stood at the front of the class and talked about their family.

Members of my family

This week we are hoping to find out a little bit more about everyone’s family.  The children will have the opportunity to talk about their family and friends and about special times they have at home.  It would be great if your child could bring in a photograph of their family so that they could talk about them at carpet time.
