Happy Chinese New Year!  It’s the Year of the rat – those people who are born in this year (1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996 and 2008) are said to be industrious and thrifty, diligent and positive. They love to enshrine and collect. They have a keen intuition and can foretell the danger.  Which year were you born in?  This week we have lots of Chinese based activities planned and the children will have the opportunity to try Chinese food at snack times.

Will it snow??

It’s our last week of the Autumn Term and we are starting off with our Christmas Party.  The children will be dancing, playing games, eating party food – and if they are good a special visitor might call in.  We have lots of activities going on and glitter galore! (If you can’t have glitter at Christmas when can you have it!!??)

Didn't they do well?

Thank you to everyone who came to join us on Monday to watch our Christmas Sing-a-long.  We were so proud of our children – weren’t they fantastic?  We raised £200.27 towards our resources for your children, thank you to everyone who donated prizes and bought raffle tickets.  Now we have finished the concert and the props have been put away we are preparing for our Christmas party next Monday afternoon.  If your child does not attend the afternoon session, please bring them at 1.00pm to join in the fun.

Monday – red, Tuesday – yellow, Wednesday – green, Thursday – blue, Friday – orange.

Thank you to everyone who donated to our ‘Children in Need’ collection last week.  We raised a fantastic £130.00! Everyone looked amazing dressed up in their outfits and pyjamas.  It has been a great week to celebrate a wonderful charity.

Thank you to everyone who came to our parents evening last Thursday – it was fantastic to see so many of you.  We hope you have enjoyed looking through your child’s profile and seeing what they have been getting up to this term.  If you have not already done so, please sign the report and return the profile so that your child’s Key Person can continue adding to it.  If you were unable to come into the classroom last week, please ask a member of staff to have a look around.

Happy Diwali

What a great week to chat about Autumn.  The leaves on the trees are changing colour and we’ve had a bit of a frost.  The summer is just a memory and we’re almost at the end of the year.  But lots of things are happening before then!
