Well we thought we had a lot of snow last week..... It was great to see so many of you come into school this week after waking up to the covering of snow. The majority of the Greenacre staff live locally and will walk into school when it is snowy, so we will always try to keep open.

Well winter has certainly arrived! What a way to start the week - snow! However, it was a great opportunity for us to test out our system on the web site letting you know that we are open. Was it helpful? We will usually know by 8.30 if the school will be open for business and we will try to update as soon as possible the message on the front page to let you know too. There is more snow on the way so please be careful and don't rush to get here.
At the sharp end
Greenacre Pre-School is managed by Julie Thornton and staffed by a team of seven. The experienced caring staff are dedicated to making children, happy, safe and ready for school.
Staff are fully qualified to level 3 or above in childcare and all have had enhanced DBS checks. Qualified first aiders are available at each session.
We offer a ratio of 1 staff member to 5 children, which far exceeds the Ofsted recommendation of 1 to 8 allowing staff to spend more time with the children.
The Pre-School committee
Greenacre Pre-School is a voluntary committee with a Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary and other committee members recruited from Pre-School parents. This gives them the opportunity to have an input into the further development and progress of the Pre-School. The committee can be contacted by email
