It’s the start of our last week of term and we will be saying a sad farewell to most of our children as they move onto Primary School in September. However, we still have a fun time ahead of us.

What lovely weather we are having – at last! Please make sure your child comes to Pre-School with sun cream on. For those staying all day we will ‘top it up’ at lunch time.
At the sharp end
Greenacre Pre-School is managed by Julie Thornton and staffed by a team of eight. The experienced caring staff are dedicated to making children, happy, safe and ready for school.
Staff are fully qualified to level 3 or above in childcare and all have had enhanced DBS checks. Qualified first aiders are available at each session.
We offer a ratio of 1 staff member to 5 children, which far exceeds the Ofsted recommendation of 1 to 8 allowing staff to spend more time with the children.
The Pre-School committee
Greenacre Pre-School is a voluntary committee with a Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary and other committee members recruited from Pre-School parents. This gives them the opportunity to have an input into the further development and progress of the Pre-School. The committee can be contacted by email
