Have you seen how our caterpillars have developed? Look at our gallery photographs to see how they have changed. They have now been moved into the Butterfly habitat and we are watching for them to change into butterflies. Why not ask your children to keep you up to date with our new family?

As part of our ‘People who help us’ topic we are having a visit from the Police this week!! So don’t be alarmed if your children tell you that the police have been to school!
At the sharp end
Greenacre Pre-School is managed by Julie Thornton and staffed by a team of eight. The experienced caring staff are dedicated to making children, happy, safe and ready for school.
Staff are fully qualified to level 3 or above in childcare and all have had enhanced DBS checks. Qualified first aiders are available at each session.
We offer a ratio of 1 staff member to 5 children, which far exceeds the Ofsted recommendation of 1 to 8 allowing staff to spend more time with the children.
The Pre-School committee
Greenacre Pre-School is a voluntary committee with a Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary and other committee members recruited from Pre-School parents. This gives them the opportunity to have an input into the further development and progress of the Pre-School. The committee can be contacted by email
Registered Charity: 1075211
In November 2014 Ofsted judged Greenacre Pre-school as a Good provison with areas of Outstanding. We are extremely proud of this achievement.
Leeds Quality Assurance Scheme
In June 2009 Greenacre Pre-School successfully achieved a silver, followed by three gold awards, in the Leeds Quality Assurance scheme. It is in recognition of having the highest standards in terms of organisation, environment, overall ethos and the experiences we provide for the children in our care.
Pre-School Learning Alliance
As members of the Pre-School Learning Alliance Greenacre Pre-School has access to a library of resources and support from this educational charity.
Equality & Diversity
The Pre-School is open to all members of the community and we are committed to providing equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice for all children and families.
